June 11, 2020 - Dusty, firm, ripe tannins. Plum, dark cherry, vanilla, leather, tobacco. Medium firm body. Nice finish. Still has time. Very good.

May 14, 2020 - Traditional Barolo: Rose petal, strawberry, earthy note, tea leafs, dried red fruit, soft tannins and oak, ready for business yet years of life ahead, light to medium body, very nice finish!

November 27, 2018 - Red cherrries, balsamic, earth and forest floor.
Red fruited palate with genuine elegance.
A little unclean nose hence minus two points.

January 18, 2017 - Decanted half an hour. Tinge of musty cardboard on initial opening but blew off to reveal a clean nose and palate. Dark brooding fruit on the nose, as well as violets, tar. Initially just a hint of nail polish remover which actually adds to the overall impression of freshness and vibrancy, though there is also just a tinge of alcohol sticking out, both of which mellowed out with further time. The palate shows a core of dark cherry and plus interwoven with tar and oak in a nicely balanced way. The tannins are starting to soften but are still quite gritty and plentiful, mostly cleaned up by a nice line of acid. The finish is reasonable though a little shorter than I was hoping for. Still time ahead for this enjoyable wine but it is quite pleasant to drink now.

July 6, 2016 - Really nice example of Barolo. Has a freshness about it that makes me think it has many more years ahead. Good fruit with some intensity. Acidity is nicely balanced, with a medium to long, drying finish.
