December 14, 2020 - Good medium weight cab. Toward the end of its prime drinking window. A bit prunish. Drank beside a more elegant 2013 John Anthony. Same price point (at the time). The JA was more interesting.

December 29, 2019 - Rich and spicy with classic bouquet. Very concentrated and thick.

December 29, 2019 - Pw/1 hour double decant. Clear, med purple color, med legs. Nice, proper med/full intensity nose. The wine is ready to go. Med body, completely resolved tannin's. On the softer side, think maybe a bit over the top. Normal CA cab black/blue fruit profile. I was a bit underwhelmed but certainly decent juice. Nothing off. $57

November 3, 2019 - Enjoyed from magnum at a family dinner party with grilled ribeye steaks, grilled asparagus, garden salad and baked potato. Lots of evolution since I last enjoyed this six years ago: tannins are much softer and better integrated, dark fruits seem more mature, and the acidity is starting to fall off. Not as powerful as I remember, but certainly more elegant. Excellent wine but should be consumed within the next 12-18 months.

May 19, 2019 - Very soft. Tannins almost non existent. Slight berry on the front. Bouquet is ok but very slight. Nice and elegant. But definitely not forward. 2 years ago probably would have been great. I tend to like them a bit younger with a little more bite. Been open for about 30 min has slightly more definition than when first opened.
