May 27, 2019 - Baked apple, papaya and grated ginger aromas and flavors with a rich, near sweet finish. Very good weight. Still nicely bright.

January 6, 2018 - Spectacular. Having had five of these since it was released, I thought I knew this wine. I didn't. As good as it's been for me already, tonight's expression was timeless beauty. The color doesn't appear to have aged at all since release. The nose on the other hand, has developed more fully, more expressively. Still, upon opening, the wine was relaxed - it revealed its charms slowly, purposefully. At first, ginger, citrus, a note of mango, some minerals and seashells. The next glass, with added air in the bottle, had changed yet again like a theater performer doing a complete costume change - this time, kumquat, stones, a whiff of butterscotch, ripe melon, and on, and on. This continued to evolve, all of it quite positively, for the two hours it was open. Several of us were looking online - to find some more - at the start of our second pour. Remarkable, ageless, and just stunning. In looking back at my previous notes, going back to 2013, each time I've had this I push the drink date out further and further; based on tonight's showing, it would seem to have another 5-7 very good years ahead of it. Absolutely lovely, and an incredible value. 12,5% abv. highly recommended+

September 2, 2017 - As good as ever. Supple on nose and palate. I got mostly the tree fruit, and great minerality with a luscious finish. Just a fun wine to drink. Just rich enough to pair with sweet potato gnocci with alfredo sauce in a sweet-savory play that worked well since it has enough acidity to finish clean.

June 21, 2016 - PnP. On the palate, the garganega, trebbiano and chardonnay clearly overpowered the sauvignon blanc, with the exception of the medium+ acidity. The nectarines, peaches and tropical fruits were there, as was the citrus, and a hint of minerality, but very little, if any, of the grass, hay or herbal presence of the SB. Improved slightly in the glass, so a quick decant might help. I'd think this wine can last to at least 2020. A truly solid effort by the Italian Master.

April 7, 2016 - perfektes Trinkstadium. Keinerlei Alterstöne, schöne Struktur und Wahnsinnslänge. Könnte von der Struktur ein sehr guter Riesling sein

December 6, 2015 - This is quite expensive in the states. You are definitely paying for the label. It is an interesting blend. Very steely and mostly sauv blanc flavors. Northeast Italy in a glass. White flowers, nectarines, tropics. A buy for 25 bucks but no more.

February 14, 2015 - Hmmm. So wishing for a repeat of my first bottle of 2011, but can't seem to find that. Maybe it's fading a little, or maybe dumb. I still like it though and feel quite happy to drink it with my lovely wife on Valentine's Day. I feel nectarine and wild grasses. The wife says it reminds her of guinea pig litter.

Oooh - later in the night it made me think tequila with fresh lime.

Day two it was good, but maybe fading a little.
