September 20, 2016 - Really nicely surprised by this wine and how well its going. Last tasting was in 2014 ( Papies 94) and this seemed to be even better. Still on the "young" side, lovely classic Bordeaux aromatics, light spice, light animal side, tobacco, earthy and pepper. On the palate it could use a bit more of a round feel but time will give it that. A beautiful wine with lots of life ahead. 94

September 18, 2016 - Great - but should have opened at least a couple of hours before. This was my last bottle of this vintage ... Unfortunately!

September 4, 2016 - SO'd for a few hrs then decanted for another, garnet with slight brick on the rim, dark fruit with tobacco, mod/firm tannins, long finish; delicious but I am concerned that the tannins will outlive the fruit.

August 8, 2016 - From a 375. Browning at rim. Nose of pruns some oak dried fruit some oxidation. I think it's slightly corked. Palate shows dried red fruit very smooth pre-maturely aged. Definetly not the best example but still very elegant. I enjoyed it despite its flaws

Rockss and Fruit

(Cos d'Estournel) Tight....tight . . . . tight. Great nose of chestnuts, mint, blackberries, black cherries, cassis, cedar and minerals. Just a deep, foresty St. Estephe nose. Concentrated and super-ripe with sweet fruit, pretty firm tannins, and a long very nicely delineated finish. Excellent quality but still an infant. Would nice to check in again in 7 years.
