January 1, 2015 - Not decanted, slow-oxygenated overnight in the bottle & consumed over 1+ hours with dinner. Fairly restrained for the first hour in glass, but really not too bad for such a young Barolo. Over time, dusty cherry fruit came out to balance the taut acidity and relatively mild tannins. Just a little bit of something in the ash/tar/dried herbs family. Not a ton of depth, but not a bad little Barolo for $20 (last bottle on close-out at Costco). 88-89ish, admitting that I have a predilection to be generous to any competently made nebbiolo.

December 21, 2014 - Consistent with prior. Has plenty of structure, but the fruit is forward enough to enjoy now with 3-4hrs air. Nice savory edge to the fruit, crisp, crunchy and fresh. Solid performer for the price.

October 24, 2014 - Roses, mild medicinal note and strawberry liquor on the nose. Taught red fruit palate with a moderate length finish. Much better on night 2 after pop and pour on night one. Quite tannic though plenty of fruit.

September 4, 2014 - Surprisingly thin...tannic, dry, rather sharp. definitely better with food. interesting wine but would not necessarily repeat.

July 17, 2014 - Lighter style barolo and still quite young. Would definitely benefit from decanting or allowing to breath. Blueberries, plum and perhaps a little lavender on the nose. Flavors remind me of a central coast pinot but with more body and structure. Time will soften the tannins.
