March 1, 2016 - The oldest Zinfandel (blend) I have ever tried. Good cork. Initially very balsamic vinegar notes. Decanted for 2 hours, was improving. Put it back in the bottle and let it breath an additional hour then sealed and put back in cellar. Next day, almost all volatile acid was gone. Dry black fruits, nutty, savory. Light body, high acid. Interesting but not outstanding.

November 25, 2008 - Lytton Springs Offline (RJs, London): Mellow, complex nose. Caramel, red fruit, complex. Smooth. Elegant, mature. Some grip, core of sweet fruit and a touch of TCA. Lovely wine though. Decent acidity. **** when not spoiled.
