April 20, 2024 - NIce nose of iron, blood, earth and chaulk. Maybe a tiny bit of horse stable. Mouth, like the nose but showing some char on the barrel and the tiniest bit of baked fruit. Very savory. Med+ bodied and pithy. Ready now, but could go longer. 90+pts. $26G.

February 8, 2024 - The bit of bottle age shows, as this is reasonably open and inviting like so many from the '12 vintage now (at least to my palate). Pretty solid - I tend to pick up a few of these across various vintages as the price to quality ratio is pretty good.

January 11, 2024 - On day 1 medium bodied, lean (12.5 %) and enjoyable. On day 2 clear signs of decline. Time to drink up!

November 25, 2023 - Got this upon release and cellared, drank well in its youth, had an off bottle that matches some of the comments from those disappointed in the wine but tonight a beautiful bottle- nice fragrance mainly of fruit, rich flavor that reminded me of the early bottles I drank but now with an added silky stricture. Nice lingering aftertaste around 10 seconds. Alas my last bottle, but a very nice experience- seems at it’s peak.

October 20, 2023 - Better than my last bottle but not good. PnP. Cherry color. Stewed fruit and green elements on the nose. Nice texture with grippy tannins. Medium finish with burned green peppers, olives, and a damp cigar on the palate. Cork was fine, so just an inferior wine.
