March 20, 2017 - Pretty bad stuff on Day 1. Brambly mouth taste of vines and rough leather more than fruit with a somewhat bitter finish. Day 2 saves the wine, became more balanced and fruit comes out. Food helps. 78 day 1 and 84 day 2. Give it a 82 avg.

November 22, 2015 - Wow. This was disappointing based on other Louis Martini Cabernets I've had. Cabbage on the nose. Green pepper and dark fruit with a little oak and leather on the palate. Nice mouthfeel and tannins. Surprisingly not terrible. Didn't improve overnight. Would avoid this wine in the future.

September 2, 2015 - Decanted for an hour. Just a taste. Not as good as previous vintages. On the green side. Medium body, tannins are a bit firm, dark fruits.

March 3, 2015 - The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like raspberry and chocolate. The body is medium. The wine has polished texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

January 25, 2015 - With roast beef (chuck), potatoes and carrots.
Notes pretty consistent with previous tasting about a year ago. The wine has mellowed a bit over the course of the year, and drank smoothly with dinner. Works for the price.
