February 17, 2016 - Upon opening I could smell some of the fruit. Tasting revealed at first a lighter slightly flat taste.

However within 5 minutes and a bit of swirling the wine opened up and exposed its depth. I like that the alcohol is not over the top however it's still very much present.

I think this could use more time. Maybe mellow out the finish that's a bit hot right now.

Still a good bottle. Recommended for the price. <$39.

    December 4, 2015 - Pours a lighter red....in the glass medium red...swirl is a brickish red..
Medium body....nose is hard to define...earthy sauerkraut?....
    Flavor is dirty cherry.....spice.....leather....
    Very interesting wine...better with food...

December 1, 2015 - A solid but not spectacular Brunello that stretches the term "Riserva" but hey for $30 I'm not complaining. Typical sour cherry notes, acidity enough to match homemade Italian pasta dinner. Good for a Tuesday night.

May 29, 2015 - PnP, and had with Hamburgers and hot dog on the grill. Definitely needed time to open up. First glass, red cherry fruit was hidden behind a wall of acid. almost a little astringent. After we went for a walk after dinner, 2nd glass was much rounder and fuller. Cherry and some spice...really good, and a good qpr for sub $25 price. Would buy again at that price if I could find it.
