October 6, 2023 - Outstanding. Drank from a magnum. We’ll balanced, nice fruit, medium body, medium finish.
April 1, 2023 - Medium ruby with early hints of garnett. Red cherry and plum with hints of cedar and spice. Medium+ acidity, soft, medium- tannin, medium bodied, high alcohol. Drinking beautifully. Wonderful wine.
June 14, 2020 - Lots of life left in the beauty. Fruit, richness, balance are hitting the right notes.
April 7, 2020 - The last Shea I had (a 2009), was a overripe mess. I wasn’t hopeful with this, another warm year, but this was much better, with real pinosity. Medium bodied, with deep cherry, some earth and a hint of clove and pine. There are some tannins and acid that add to and lift the wine.
September 8, 2017 - Regrettably, the last.
September 5, 2017 - Perfect with the Labor Day burgers.
November 11, 2015 - A bit darker and fresher color than the Bergstrom, ruby garnet, also clarity is much better than previous experiences with producers; nice freshness to the nose, intense floral, roses and violets, currant, dark cherry, sweet and fresh a slight candy edge; palate shows ripe fruit with good intensity though a softness to the acid, plummy fruit, dark cherry, hints of black currant, Gevrey-esque; tasty now with medium cellaring potential.
September 11, 2015 - Light, well balanced, smooth with mild tannins, berries, oak and cedar. Not as fruit forward as a typical Pinot. Very nice
March 1, 2015 - Bright red fruits, cherry, raspberry, leading to a pleasant and easy going nose. Pleasant and smooth through the body. Great acidity, very light fruit. Needs time to develop complexity to match its nice acidity. Pleasant medium length finish.
December 25, 2014 - Big, bold and beautiful. No need to wait on the 2012. Dark cherries, blackberries, and earth. Great acids as well. Very nicely integrated.
