February 4, 2024 - Didn’t age nicely, unfortunately. Dark, dark fruits and some unappealing tertiary notes that suggest over extraction and a shortened lifespan as a result.

December 19, 2017 - Beautifully balanced, no sharp edges but has an exotic elegance to it, hints of cherry, spice and herbs on the palate to complement a similar but subdued nose.

December 10, 2017 - Super tight. Shut down at pop n pour, needed a two hour decant to open up. certainly needs more time. Expect good things from this in the future.

March 18, 2017 - My opinion Dick Shea's wines shine at about the 5yr mark and this wine proves it.

February 27, 2016 - We really liked this wine. Terrific nose, very nice fruit and complexity on the palate, soft finish. Worth the price of admission.

May 25, 2013 - Willamette Valley for Memorial day weekend and a peak at 2012; 5/25/2013-5/26/2013: Barrel sample. Softly fruited on the nose, and fairly quiet overall. Tart palate with really gritty tannins. Quite lean and tart, offering puckering fruits. Very gritty and grippy on the finish. It's tight and ripping on the finish despite the dark leaning on the palate. (87-89 points)
