June 16, 2016 - Agree with the previous few comments. This is excellent value for price, has an elegant deep violet bouquet, it's very fruity but also elegant and balanced on the palate--good mixture of new world and old. Really a good wine and went very well with indian food. Will get more! Grade: A.

October 24, 2015 - Ripe and lush plum and currant fruit, but has some good balancing tannin and acidity. The 15% alcohol does not show itself much, even on the finish. Quite modern in style, more akin to many CA wines, though quite tasty. No need to age further. In fact, I would consume these soon.

June 3, 2015 - First one of these in 16 months and it has developed very nicely since last time. Noticeably more complex now. Still a youthful-looking, opaque deep purple in color - lightening only slightly at the edge. Pretty, complex aromas of earth, spice and flowers drift from the glass. Full-bodied, rich and very New World in style. Bordering on over-extracted and flabby, but doesn't quite cross the line. There's so much attractive Merlot character to this. Loaded with delicious plum and red currant fruit, with excellent intensity and focus. Shows just enough acidity and abundant, fine-grained tannins. Notes of sweet baking spices, mineral and oak provide ample complexity to the long, juicy finish. Big, rich and delicious. Probably not one to hold for the long haul, but boy is this good right now. Phenomenal quality for a right-bank Bordeaux at this price point.

May 31, 2015 - Excellent-drinking 2010 Bordeaux. This hits all the key notes. Strong, inviting nose, earthy terroir, round fruit, silky tannins, nice acid from start to finish. Boysenberry fruit and graphite notes provide character. Vanilla-cocoa spicy cherry stem finish. Fruit-forward, modern style provides intense fruit to complement its overall elegance. Top-notch winemaking at work here. This is a must-try if you like Merlot. So pleasant a drinker that the absence of an age-worthy backbone becomes a mere afterthought. Drink now and enjoy.
