July 20, 2016 - Opened up considerably over the course of the evening. The last glass was the best, and these thoughts are based on that last glass.
Big, bold, fruity nose. Notes of blue and black fruits dominate, with a little red thrown in for good measure. The fruits have some bramble, some cobbler to them. Secondarily, some medicinal and tobacco characteristics. On the mouth, more tobacco, significant leathery tannins, and red and blue fruits dominate. Good acid reminiscent of orange. Great, after open for awhile.
