June 27, 2014 - Alcohol way too predominant. Had hints of pinot freshness but never stood out even as I cooled it down. Day 2, more of the same.

January 13, 2014 - 7 Tasmania Wineries Jan-14; 1/9/2014-1/14/2014: {screwcap, 13.5%, A$34}. Strawberries and leafy, tobacco-like aromas. Perhaps some of this comes from the 30% whole-bunch ferment. Pretty light-bodied, with low powdery tannins, minimal oak. It’s a touch thin on the palate, with stalky berry flavours and a dusty texture. I get the impression that Chromy had a 2011 more in line with the rest of the mainland, so te ripeness isn’t quite there. This is a short-term wine of some appeal.

December 31, 2013 - Elegant, but pretty simple, pinot characters. Great structure, well balanced tannins and acidity. Lack of complexity in characters for a higher grade. But who needs a higher grade when this wine combine interesting origin with good balance. Just make a fitting dish!

October 15, 2013 - Pinot color on the wine. Pinot scent, motlen sytrawberry, dirt, mushroom, a slight sweet note with ginger and light coffe to boot. On the palate strawberry, raspberry, hebs, roasted oak and medium dark chocolate. Nice acidity balanes with the red peppery tannins , dry back end that promise more in a year or two
