January 10, 2021 - First bottle served with a perfectly grilled steak. This wine has good tannic structure and restrained fruit. Medium to long finish, and some acidity.
December 22, 2020 - Interesting wine drinking very nicely at this point. Splash decant and dug right in. I say interesting because the wine has virtually no nose. But a silky medium rich mouthfeel with some wonderful tannic ruggedness on the finish. Paired with a vegan spaghetti bolognese!
April 21, 2019 - Fruity. Does not need decanting. Tastes like it could be Saxum or a richer version of Herman Story
February 10, 2019 - Amazing intensity, heavy currants, licorice and beef blood, great balance and purity and striking minerality. Tastes like a hot year Northern Rhône.
October 15, 2018 - Wowza. Caught off guard with this one. Drinking really well right now! Top notch WA Syrah. Nice work Sheridan.
November 20, 2016 - Served with jambalaya and it was subtle yet powerful - sounds crazy but a perfect match.
January 22, 2016 - Corked!
June 21, 2015 - Consistent with my prior notes.
October 23, 2014 - Agree with many of the previous notes, classy Syrah character that is loaded with complexity and intensity without becoming overbearing. No noticeable heat, tannins concealed behind abundant fruit that is well contained in a beautiful package. The best Syrah I've ever had from this area. Impressive and very well made!
July 5, 2014 - took a little while to open up, and in a tasste off with shafer relentless, it held its own. Sweet red fruit on the front, medium finish and a great round mouth feel
