February 15, 2023 - THAT Super Village (Yan): Thought this was a little muted and needed some time to unfurl in glass. Once it did, there was no stopping it.

Dried flowers, iron, orange peel and earth come to the fore with pure and clean dark fruit, morels, sandalwood spice more apparent on the palate. Atypical and showing classic Gevrey terroir, but perhaps in the hands of Rousseau, the purity of fruit shone more.

    December 12, 2022 - Rousseau Gevrey-Chambertin 2012.
Relativt åpen med ganske flott meaty nese.
    Holder nok noe tilbake.
Mørk, dog saftig frukt i anslaget.
    Fremstår fremdeles ganske ung.
    Fin konsentrasjon med brukbar friskhet.
Litt jordlig i finish med svakt tørrende tanniner.
    Bra Village. 91p

October 14, 2021 - Opened three hours ahead. Excellent village wine. Red fruits with a little rose smell. Clearly not GC depth but very enjoyable and expressive.

July 30, 2021 - Red fruited, but savoury. It’s weightless and precise. And continued to open up and become more refined over 4 hours. Delicious.

July 1, 2021 - This is a gorgeous, primary, floral, red fruited mineral wine with just a hint of soy, refined animale, structurally essentially resolved with seemingly absent tannin, bright acidity, but the perfect balance and gracefulness of this wine make it stand out. The wow factor isn’t necessarily that it’s overly complex but the perfection of the execution. And in a great place right now.

    December 11, 2020 - What a difference to the simultaneously enjoyed 2011,
this is a powerhouse, full bodied, rich in black fruit, dense, juicy,
both on the nose and especially on the palate, so tasty, lush, creamy flow, is this a Bourgogne, totally different to the 2011, same producer? same vineyard? Unbelievable different, with a decent decant very delicious now, but will easily hold another decade, ***-(****), around 92, 93
