October 14, 2015 - Nice intense nose. Red fruits, tar, leather. Well balanced. Unmistakably Italian. Well made wine and good value.

July 7, 2015 - Very good pairing with pasta and olives in a rustic tomato sauce. Still a core of fruit and some acidity hanging around. Definitely peaking though. One more bottle to go.
June 28, 2015 - constant with previous note, great for the price.

January 31, 2015 - Great colour, body and aromas, especially for the value. plenty of fruit and leather, with good Nebbiolo flavours. Some tannin but not harsh at all, let this breathe and drank over a few hours. A great wine to keep you satisfied while the Barolo ages. I'll definitely pick up a few more bottles.

December 20, 2014 - Opening up with decidedly funky-meaty notes, and with a brick-red colour of dried blood, this Nebbiolo from Langhe, near the far more famous Barolo and Barbaresco, seems stale and uninviting. Give it some time to breathe, though, a couple of hours or even a full day, and it becomes a complex and intriguing wine with a food-friendly Italian roller-coaster of aromas and flavours of redcurrant, sour cherry, cranberry, earth, tar, leather, mushroom, and bitter herb. It's all a bit too thin, and some of that initial funkiness remains, the fruit somewhat suppressed, but it's still a great value for an interesting foray into the often expensive region of Piedmont.
