Community Tasting Notes 6

September 9, 2021 - One of the more elegant-styled Shiraz from Shingleback, but based on the first bottle, I think it is over-priced for the overall quality of wine. Many other Shingleback wines show as well for about half the price.
Nice dark shiraz flavor of blackberry and plum, with a smooth round mouthfeel and a somewhat silky finish.

January 30, 2018 - Clean, fresh aroma. Plum, pomegranate flavors. Finishes with a pepper burn. Nice long after taste.

October 1, 2016 - QPR rocks! Full of blackberry/cherry on the nose and palate. Smooth as butter. Medium lingering finish. This is a pop and pour. Has aging potential of about 5 years. Delicious now but will save my other 2 bottles.

September 20, 2016 - One of the strangest wines I have had. Is my first experience with an Australian wine. Full of strawberry and oak aromas. At first taste on the palate, it seems like an empty, child's wine, with no alcohol, strange sensation for me but very good. The finish is very soft and full of pepper. I'm thinking this needs to sit longer?
