July 18, 2018 - Dry River (Bel & Brio, Barangaroo): Slightly sour blackberry over green and black peppercorns, a little plain coffee. Juicy, fleshy, tight, but not drying, tannins. Lightweight wild blackberry, long. Nice.

May 28, 2016 - Bottle no 2725, tasted at Oinoscent via Coravin.
Very fine perfume, floral, fine ripeness, of blue and black fruit, thin oak, clove, nutmeg, blackpepper and campfor.
In the palate, the wine is dry, showing fine tannins, ripe red and black fruit, med body and intensity, thin oak frame, very delicate and subtle but rich, nice silky mouthfeel, med to long finish.
Outstanding quality, drink now or hold

September 17, 2013 - Dry River Tasting (Caros Wines, Parnell, Auckland, New Zealand): Intense purple/ruby. Bright nose of cool climate syrah, featuring floral, animal, pepper and lean raspberry fruit. Excellent palate with great definition. This is outstanding New Zealand syrah with gorgeous high toned nuances. Very lifted, great structure and presence. Nicely judged proportion - this will age well. The product of a cool and wet vintage. Very Crozes-Hermitage is style.
