February 19, 2023 - Tried this 11 as it was a bargain on winebid.
N of dark fruit and plum.
P of black cherry and plum, with tar and rubber. Much thinner than most years.

March 30, 2022 - Plenty of life, beefy, iron, dirt, fruit is blackberry. A bit clumsy and not likely to improve. Drink or hold but not for too much longer I don't think.

September 20, 2019 - A little disjointed on PnP, this came together with about an hour of air. Meaty/savory notes with a bit of herbaceousness more prominent than fruit.

November 27, 2018 - Opaque purple with a violet rim, nose of blackberries. Tart cane pith, light fruit, medium body, a bit of bubble gum. A bit disjointed solo, but works well with some salami picante on baguette. Starting to come together with some open time. Developing a meaty texture with more time. Reserved with a nice smooth body and well integrated tannins. Yummy without being jammy. This may have plateaued, but should hold for a long time. A night later, perfectly balanced, the fruit is developing a restrained round profile, some tartness and cane pith tannins. While many do not like the cool vintages, they are my favorite and the ones I buy. Must be from drinking all that OR PN. This year they lost their estate fruit and had to purchase from others. It was a devastating winter for many. Now part of the Rotie family, both being favorite buys. Finishing four nights after opening and has developed into a restrained old world style, showing some smoky notes along with some Italian red pepper, cherries, leather and earth, lovely savory aged wine with tertiary notes replacing and enhancing the fruit.

November 27, 2018 - I agree that this was a lean wine whose best days are behind.

(Proper Stone's Throw Syrah Walla Walla Valley) Less opulent aromatically than its 2010 vintage counterpart – and coming from a nearby vineyard after the winery’s property was affected by the 2010 freeze - with notes of smoked meat, crushed stone, and mineral. The palate brings a sense of seamlessness, end to end with great depth to ash, herb, smoke, and liquid rock flavors, brightening acidity, and a lingering finish. A beautiful mixture of Old World and New World styles that is absolutely dee-licious and is also one of the best values coming out of this area. 100% Syrah. 13.8% alcohol. Sample provided by winery.
