May 6, 2022 - Very clean, dried rose and forest floor aromatics. Fully resolved, charmingly sweet palate with modest length. Testament to quality of DRC even in terrible vintages.

March 7, 2020 - La Paulee 2020 - Gala Dinner (Pier 60): Slightly tired, but by no means undrinkable. Good aged Burgundy overall, pronounced acidity and some earthy flavors. 91

November 15, 2019 - Great red burgundy 1999 horizontal tasting (21 wines) - semi blind (Nordsjaelland): The evening's outsider (the only wine not from 1999). Really impressive - 46 years old and still fresh and fruity but also with nice well integrated tertiary notes. Good balance. Outstanding wine kept in the same celler since for years.
The evening's no. 2, just a few centimeters behind Charlopin-Parizot Echezeaux 1999 (96+) and a few centimeters ahead of Charlopin-Parizot Charmes-Chambertin 1999 (95+) and Denis Mortet Le Chambertin1999 (95+). For me Charlopin-Parizot was pretty unknown - not after this tasting!

August 6, 2016 - SLDS Reunion Tasting (Bentley, Sydney, Australia): Decaying autumn leaves, truffle, cherry cola, sandalwood and mint. The palate is settled and resolved, with good acidity propping up the structure of the wine. This is holding on really nicely.

June 7, 2016 - 1973 DRC Romanee St Vivant - it's funny how wines from 73 are showing up on the way for drink. Not a great vintage, lot's of rain from July through the harvest. The wines are good, the appelation counts a lot. La Tache was perfect. The RSV was beautifull red fruits, floral, spice on the nose. Great palate, still silk, a little oxidised and lacking mid palate, but a very delicate beautiful wine.
