November 27, 2022 - At 30 yrs ago old i didn’t think this would need a lot of air but it definitely did. On open, at first it seemed way passed its drinking window but I recorked it and put back in the cellar. I tried it again the next night any it pulled itself back together and was really good. Definitely at its peak but not the initial disappointment I thought. Very well made cali cap blend.

October 2, 2022 - Needed quite a bit of air to open up. Started out with wet socks and medicinal, but developed into a mature Napa beauty with some etheral notes, cassis and blackberries. I would drink this now, as I think it is at its best.

April 25, 2019 - A cross of cherry cough syrup with fresh tart cherries with gorgeous leather, red currants and a pile of autumn leaves.

High acidity and interesting for how it holds up for it's age but I don't take much interest in this.

Pretty sure the newer vintages would age better than this.

PS cork was absolutely saturated and crumbly with signs of seepage, however ullage was very good.

February 20, 2018 - Poured alongside a '95 Caymus SS. More necrotic than the Caymus (and possibly less well-stored), with more red fruit, baked yam and terra cotta notes. Also some bay leaf and candle wax. Good, but faulty.

July 16, 2017 - It was a magnum so it showed the characteristics of this great vintage. Shows that California wine can age well. Great color, balance and the cigars we love from cab.
