January 27, 2023 - 19yo wine. Lovely fruit, holding up well. Classic Heathcote/Jasper Hill shiraz wine.

June 25, 2022 - Blackberry and plum palate. Medium to full bodied. Another great wine from Jasper Hill.

  • SimonPh Likes this wine: 92 points

February 20, 2021 - It carries its 15% alcohol well, and the age makes it a lovely drinking wine with integrated tannins and rich fruit still present.

  • Andrew67 Likes this wine: 93 points

December 16, 2019 - Plum, blackberry, cedar, spice. Good balance and length. Smooth, integrated tannins. Just has lost a little bite, hence the lower score to last time. Still drinking very well, with a few more years to enjoy.

  • Doctor Koulodare Likes this wine: 91 points

May 25, 2019 - Showing a little age, but overall quite nice. Lots of cassis and currants, perfume-y, lovely mouthfeel.

(Georgia’s Paddock Shiraz) Jasper Hill Trio Dear Friends, Those of you that have followed my missives over the last decade or more know I have a fondness for Jasper Hill, one of the original slices of individual style in the wine-world. Those in attendance in Seattle 5-7 years ago when we helped Michael Twelftree pour every wine ever made at Jasper Hill (including every Georgia’s and Emily’s) will attest to the winery’s premier standing. Their wines have an incredible ability to age and are rivaled in Australia by very few of the Shiraz classics (Grange, Hill of Grace, Wendouree, Bests, Mount Langi Ghiran, Yarra Yering, et al). The 1985 Georgia’s Paddock continues to defy logic and still drinks like it was bottled only a few years ago, even at age 23. Jasper Hill was one of the first non-interventionist/organic producers to emerge in Australia and their wise decision to go that route shows in the purity and longevity of the wines produced. Tonight we offer a look into the current vintages plus a special new bottling from the Roussillon made by Jasper Hill in partnership with Chapoutier (it’s a small batch blend of old-vine, organically grown fruit called Agly Brothers and the Carignan alone in the wine is from 100-125 year old vines - should be compelling as 2004 was a great vintage in the Roussillon, similar to Priorat - 2005 and 2006 have not been as strong in the region. The wine is slated to sell for $40-60 and is actually being released after the 2006 version - expect interesting accolades). The wines are offered as a set (at a terrific price) and they are only offered as a 3-bottle pack (one bottle of each wine). All three wines are sure to make for interesting conversation as they evolve... Jasper Hill 3-Bottle Set (1) 2002 Georgia’s Paddock Shiraz (1) 2004 Georgia’s Paddock Shiraz (1) 2004 Agly Brothers Cotes du Roussillon (NEW) These (3)-packs are EXTREMELY LIMITED and are directly from the source with perfect provenance Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Aus6980
