February 20, 2021 - It carries its 15% alcohol well, and the age makes it a lovely drinking wine with integrated tannins and rich fruit still present.

December 16, 2019 - Plum, blackberry, cedar, spice. Good balance and length. Smooth, integrated tannins. Just has lost a little bite, hence the lower score to last time. Still drinking very well, with a few more years to enjoy.

May 25, 2019 - Showing a little age, but overall quite nice. Lots of cassis and currants, perfume-y, lovely mouthfeel.

    October 13, 2018 - 55th TWIGS Tasting (Villa Chang): Cork. 15% alc.
Dark core. Lush, sweet nose, with florals and a certain uniqueness - maybe caramelised fig, soy, sarsaparilla? Palate is sweet, almost jammy. It's a blockbuster, with long, slightly drying tannins. Someone commented - "feels like a durif".

October 13, 2017 - Similar to last time, blueberry, plums, cedar, tobacco. A really nice wine. Medium bodied with good length. Acidity remains quite bright. The balance overall is quite good. There's another 5 years at least.

June 23, 2017 - Dark plum colour with real density. A lovely nose of blueberry, blackcurrant plum with touches of eucalyptus and herbs. The palate is medium weight with soft, spherical fruits leading into a nice tannin/acid spine that all lingers and refreshes at the end. A beautiful Aus shiraz with both richness and elegance. A treat !

June 16, 2017 - Alcohol hits on the nose. Bright deep ruby red no hint of age. Powerful but not overly heavy, fruity sweetness comes through first with dry tannins in the finish. Still tastes remarkably young, has many years of good drinking left in it.
