    November 29, 2023 - Gorgeous amber colour with an oxidative, slightly cheesy nose. The palate has lots of flavour, sultanas, orange peel, Indian spices, medium sweet and a gentle warmth on the mid palate and a long finish. This is a great wine at £16 and easy to enjoy on its own or with cheese, chocolate and nuts.

    April 23, 2021 - This lighter, drier style of Madeira is very drinkable. Cooked/raisin fruit, but still fresh with a very slight saline finish. Slightly chilled makes a great aperitif or digestive.

    December 20, 2016 - Monthly Tuesday group "The Dead Sparrow" #014: Madeira (@ RW and by RW): In the bouquet raisins, walnuts and oranges. On the palate the same impressions and also sherry, a lot of bitterness and a bit edgy. Not my favorite.

    February 7, 2016 - Ingen superfokuserad analys kanske eftersom vi var bortbjudna och hade druckit en del innan men here goes:
    Doft: Oxiderat, nötigt (som i en Sherry i oxidativ stil), karamelliserat socker, torkad frukt i form av gula russin samt fräschare toner åt apelsinzest.
    Smak: Oxiderat, nötigt, torkat med ok syra för att vara Madeira. Ganska bra koncentration. Halvsött. Lite för påtaglig spritighet.

    Gillade absolut även om det inte är en supermadeira. Lite mer syra, mer koncentration och lite mindre påtaglig alkohol (det hade väl högre koncentration löst) hade inte skadat. 88p
