    May 21, 2022 - Perfect cork.
Pale red, translucent , but no bricking
Soft cherry and wild berry fragrance, rose petals, smooth, some nuttiness with cherry stone zest.
Soft round mouthfeel , good acidity , light silky tannins . Cherry fruit, damson, light earthy nutty complexity , cherry stone and a little dark spice. Excellent balance structurally and flavour wise. Definitely ready but on a wide plateau. Superb drinking.

September 23, 2021 - Drinking Some Great Mugnier as an Hommage to Becky Wasserman (Republique - Los Angeles CA): In 99/01/02/05 vertical, followed by the same vintages of Musigny. Also red and black cherry throughout. Slightly riper and bigger vs 2001, but less texturally nuanced. Great length with sneaky power on finish. A great wine that has kept improving with age and still has further upside.

November 8, 2020 - Sapid red cherry, raspberry nose with a little bit of anise and funk. Resonant palate, if not yet fully developed.

January 24, 2020 - This 2002 J F Mugnier Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses is my wine of the night. Tasted blind at Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru dinner – A light and ethereal bouquet of summer berries, strawberries, and delicate rose petals. Incredible soft and seductive with silky tannins, Les Amoureuses at its finest. 2006 J F Mugnier Les Amoureuses? (93+/100)

December 4, 2019 - Gathering with Burgundy Lovers: Amazing seductive aromas very complex aromatic of orange peel, sweet fruits, forest floor, mushroom, oriental spices with sorbet like freshness. Fresh entry with excellent acidity, the complex, delicate flavours filling the mouth, expanding and lingering on the palate yet with serious depth and also amazing weightlessness. Spices infused super long finish that’s linger. This is just such an elegant and pretty wine. Always a treat to drink this wine.

June 8, 2019 - Acker 2019/06 (Hong Kong): Cherry, licorice, rose, red meat, wood, soy, pepper, a hint of grill. The finish is firm, precise, sweet and long. Everything is subtly in place. So smooth, pure and sublime like a famed Les Amour; one of his best vintages. 97

March 9, 2019 - La Paulée de New York Gala Dinner (Pier Sixty - New York NY): Small glass, brief note. Served alongside the 2000. Complex array of red cherry and berry aromas and flavors with layered character and a long, long, long finish. Still upside from here.

December 31, 2018 - Served blind. My first thought was Gevrey, this is so dark and dense with lots of black cherry. With time, the layers started to unfold, and this came across as remarkably clean and seriously dense. This deserves ample time to breathe if it's being served anytime soon, and will undoubtedly evolve for many years in bottle.
