December 30, 2022 - As many know, I love me some age on my Bedrock's. That said, I think this 2012 Papara might be a drink in the near-term wine. Perfectly integrated and drinking well, but maybe a little less exciting than past tastings. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed this....but will probably drink my last bottles in the next year or so.

July 12, 2021 - Brought down to cellar temperature and then decanted for two hours. The nose is extremely subtle but has very clear Zinfandel notes of chocolate, earth and rustic red fruits. Really not that full-bodied on the palate and this didn’t stand up well to a fairly mild spaghetti bolognese. Without food this has a light, contemplative finish. Not bad, but expected some more depth and complexity.

January 23, 2021 - Quite tasty. Great strawberry fruit; younger tasting than expected. Definitely similar to the Carlisle from 2 nights earlier.

December 16, 2020 - Still tight after 2 hours of air. Still room for this one to age. K liked better than the 2012 Carignane. Full bodied. Fruit still forward with spice/pepper. Will revisit in 3-5? Years.

June 23, 2020 - PnP. Ruby to garnet on the edges medium clarity and body. Expressive nose of savory dark fruits some spice. Body is medium full, bright with dark fruits and medium tannins. Finish cut a bit short or would have given it a few more points. Beautiful wine that is drinking well.

May 5, 2020 - Rich dark red color just beginning to show signs of age. The Bedrock Papera fuses cool climate perfume and spice of RRV Zinfandel and the crunchy substance and savory red fruit of Carignan. Nothing in the Bedrock line up I love more, especially the Spanish Priorat mouthfeel. The 2012 is in a good spot now.

December 15, 2019 - This bottling drank very well on night one. Terrific energy, structure, freshness, and fruit. Russian River Zinfandel (54%) dominates the profile. The wine dropped off on night two - still tasty but it lost a lot of the original energy.
