January 5, 2021 - Slo-oxed for 20 minutes to allow the wine to open and to warm a bit. The color is a bright yellow. As several other TNs (esp. rosenst1) have mentioned, the nose and the palate were both tipped toward tropical fruits, rather than orchard or citrus, probably due to the riper year. The nose also showed some oak, which showed on the medium bodied palate as well, especially as the wine warmed. The acidity was not sufficient to balance the fruit, so the wine was a bit flabby. Purchased directly upon release and cellar stored. Can probably hold for several more years, and may, strangely, improve if the fruit fades.

October 23, 2018 - Last one, thankfully. Nose is fat and woolly -- reminiscent of a chenin, really. Palate lacks verve and acid. Bought on release and well stored since then.

June 24, 2018 - On downslope. Fatty, wooly overlay with the acid both sticking out and insufficient.. Losing its fruit. Drink up.

January 17, 2017 - More acidity in this bottle to balance the fruit which tipped this bottle to a solid 90.

November 13, 2016 - so much to like here - golden hue, intense fruit - but this oddly lacks acidity to easily warrant a higher rating. not what i typically expect from Littorai - clearly well made - just a bit too sweet and lacking the acid backbone.

October 12, 2016 - PnP. Medium gold. Ripe notes of more tropical fruits and a hint of butterscotch. Soft on the palate but just this side of flabby. Drink up. The ripeness of the vintage makes for a less compelling wine from Littorai to my palate.

February 22, 2016 - PnP. Medium gold. Nose more tropical fruits than citrus, likely reflecting the riper year. Quite rich on the palate - a little lower in acidity than usual for Littorai - drink up.

August 1, 2015 - Notes of peach or nectarine on the nose. The taste starts with under ripe yellow pit fruit and ends with a pleasantly balanced bitter with citrus notes.

June 10, 2015 - This was lacking in minerality, with too much ripe fruit. It was fine but couldn't stand the comparison w a Peay 2011 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay.
