April 22, 2016 - No formal notes except that this was very good.
Too big to my taste, and you can't probably drink more than a glass of this but nonetheless a very nice experience.

March 24, 2016 - Color is opaque, very dark purple with brownish orange on the edge. Aroma is a little muted but I still detect dark fruits, primarily cherries and black currant. There's some pencil shavings as well. Entry is lush with flavors of sour cherries, graphite, coffee and oak. Style is no doubt Old World and probably better with a nice slice of steak! Maybe I had very high expectation with this wine. It is well made but I expect more!

Wow, the wine changed after two nights! This is really excellent right now. There is a very much welcomed appearance of sweetness, whereas none two nights ago. The sweetness balanced everything...bumping my score and will wait for a year or two for my other bottle. Decant if you decide to pop the cork right now..

March 24, 2016 - Dark brooding Chilean Bordeaux. Memory of drinking this wine in Chile is better than this wine is tasting. Would never buy again.

March 18, 2016 - Decanted for 2 hours. This bottle seems To have achieved its peak and by now is over the hill ( T most a 89 ) . Let us give more time to it.
After 4 hours it became a full body, medium red, round, black berries, light dark chocolate taste. None tertiary aromas yet.

March 15, 2016 - This was the very best Chilean wine I have ever had. A superbly cut, grandly dignified wine. The depth is surreal and yet without forcing it nor heaviness. Just barely entering its drinking window and with many years ahead. Alas this was my last bottle of the two that I had purchased upon release. No regret, only wonderful memory, especially of this 2nd bottle. Cheers,

(VINA ALMAVIVA) COLOR-obnoxiously great pitch black, NOSE-huge aromatic, new world; TASTE-BIG WINE, tannins, thick, viscous, massive, new world fruit (dark cherry, blackberry, black currant), but Bordeaux structure. REALLY IMPRESSED, WS-95, GV-93
