Community Tasting Notes 3
October 6, 2014 - The wine is clear and bright with a medium garnet colour. The nose is faulty (brett) showing low intensity very simple aromas of leather, game and hints of pyrazine. The wine is dry in the mouth with a medium(-) acidity. It has high harsh tannins and a medium(+) alcohol. It has a medium(+) body and medium intensity flavours of leather, game and hints of pyrazine. The finish is medium.
It is a poor quality wine. The tannins are too harsh, there is no fruit to evolve into anything interesting, it lacks balance and it is bretty. There nor reason to keep it, the brett will be more pronounced as the time passes.
April 21, 2014 - Leapt from the top shelf of my cellar to its early demise. I managed to salvage much of the bottle, but all shook up, young and with the wrong food, it was hard to get a read. Wrapped up, tight, tannic and impenetrable. Better in a few years, when settled?

November 14, 2013 - Rose petals on the nose and palate, clean and light bodied at first but then a big whallop of acidity and tannins come in. Needs time but has potential.
