June 30, 2020 - Cinnamon, stewed plum, cherry liquor, green wood, white pepper. Rich and silky, not overly sweet. Pleasant peppery finish.

December 31, 2019 - Elegant port. Dark fruit is restrained and balanced by dusty tannins. Tabacco, minerals and leather notes. Would buy again.

October 4, 2019 - Bottle is open for 24 hours. Smells of dried strawberry, medium body, smooth in the mouth, not hot, more half dry for a port (so more towards Dow’s than Graham’s in terms of sweetness), in the mouth strawberry, in the aftertaste strawberry and acidity, good length (30 sec), very good reserve Ruby for a small price, more on the ‘dry’ side.

November 29, 2016 - I have no real frame of reference for Ports of any type, but this is an extremely enjoyable dessert tipple for the price. Clean and densely fruited with only a touch of prune or raisin and no spirit. Will have it next with some NYD Stichelton.

September 18, 2015 - Please see note from 9/19/13. Still spot on. Terrific QPR. I should really drink Port more often to end my evenings; lasts a long time and it's delicious. Smith Woodhouse remains a favorite in the sub $25 category. 90-91 pts.

December 20, 2014 - I drink very seldom Port, but I do like it. Specially in winter or autumn nights. This is delicious, smooth, not overly sweet. Nice structure, quite big tannins, and some accidity. J`aime!

September 19, 2013 - Port always lasts forever at my place. I love it but don't often have it, and when I do the portions are small. But I love it, and this is an excellent Port. It's raisin-y, with some dark fruit and a little licorice as well. Velvety smooth, long finish, round and full. Delicious. Of course it's great with chocolate, but this one can be enjoyed thoroughly all by itself. Best Port I've had for under $25. Will restock! 90-91 pts.
