August 7, 2016 - Out of magnum - simply delicious and made in a classic, high-toned style with flavors of roasted meats and dark fruits with hints of black pepper and game. Medium-bodied and quite savory at this point with a fine complexity on the finish which is grippy and still a bit tannic. Everybody loved drinking this at Reynard, Brooklyn.

May 2, 2015 - Deep black/ruby color with slightly fading edges. Beautiful nose of black fruits, dark spices, smoked meats and a certain floral cherry perfume. High-toned and crisp with really juicy, succulent fruit flavors of dark raspberries and cherries. Finishes firm with good acids and grip and a wonderful spice-driven complexity with notes of violets, slate minerals and char. Very authentic Cornas. The "Fontaines" bottling is very hard to find and I can see why. Out of magnum. 93+

February 15, 2014 - I agree with Tanzer's note - this has power, density and nice freshness and character. A pleasant wine, will improve with some age but enjoyable now. (Clio Restaurant)

February 4, 2014 - Quite deep red. Lovely big syrah nose, lots of bramblydark fruit, some tar, touch of smoke but ripe and rich but not over the top. Good acidity and balance, though the finish is still a littlle bit hard. Drinking well though might imrpove with a couple of years more? Lovely Cornas.

May 6, 2013 - Showing nice maturity but with plenty in the tank, this is a refined Cornas with delicious smoky black cherry fruit and notes of slate minerals and black pepper. Finishes smooth and silky with a lovely licorice note. This was hard to stop drinking with roasted and barbequed meats.

November 5, 2007 - Dark purple, fresh nose, a rich mouthful, laced with refreshing acidic background....day 2: more refined...still a refreshing acidity - a challenging wine with an underlying elegance and some length...i hope this may reward additional cellaring, but now is offering glimpses of potential. More memorable than the 2003 for me.

June 19, 2006 - Barrel sample tasted at the domaine. Structured, with red fruit. Thick chocolatey tannins. Good acid / tannin structure. More typical Cornas than the 2003 (see TN), though I was a bit more taken by the '03 at this early stage. The '05 barrel sample that followed had darker, juicier fruit.
