December 25, 2013 - That is some seriously good wine. It clearly benefited from 2h decanting (going from painfully tannic and acid to just right). Solid red color. Beautiful nose/palate of bacon, violets, ripe red fruits and some pepper. Very long. Paired very well with a roasted lamb.

June 26, 2012 - Well, it showed potential, but far too young. Should have left it. came 3rd (out of 4) in the tasting. Even after a couple of hours in the decanter, hard and a bit simple.

May 15, 2010 - I opened this at my 5/15/10 Syrah tasting. For most, it was the WOTN. It had a fabulous bouquet of smoked meat, plum, sage, spice, and musty wood aromas. The palate was smooth and superbly balanced with smoked meat, plum, raspberry, sage, pepper and spice flavors…a wonderful mix of elegance and power. STUNNING!
