February 19, 2024 - Drinking great. Good balance of fruit, minerality, acid, and texture. Showing some nice development, this might even get better.

August 14, 2023 - This was drinking really well. Nice stony minerality, orchard fruit. A bit tight on pop and pour but fleshed out and showed some secondary depth as it warmed and opened up. Sad to see my last bottle go

July 17, 2022 - Pale gold. Nose of apple core, grapefruit, white flowers, stone. Layers of etched, deep-reaching flavors of granny apple, white pear, grapefruit, and flint cut with tart stoniness on the palate. Exceptional purity and detail as it warmed up from chilled state. Stony spine balancing bright acidity. Long finish of tart white stone fruit. A great showing.

July 4, 2022 - Wow this is crazy good. Lemon with bright acidity and minerality. Long finish. This wine has years to go still.

July 30, 2021 - Allow about an hour or two of air. Fully resolved. Acid bite slight but there. Slight butterscotch but not in a big way. The character of Porter Bass evident. Easy to drink with fruit just starting to take a background. This has years left in it although mine from the winery to 53 degrees since release. lovely. So enjoyable.

August 7, 2020 - I found another bottle I didn’t know I had. It’s quite good for mature California Chardonnay. The fruit is deep and rich, it’s definitely not too oaky and the balance is very good. What didn’t happen is any connection to the soil or complexity. It gets tiring after the second glass as I lose interest but I can’t deny the impressive concentration.

June 14, 2020 - My last bottle of this wine. Initially a bit dilute. Nice, but no depth. Then after an hour or so it filled in quite nicely. Creamy, lemony, good energy.

April 30, 2020 - Much better than the previous bottle but to old world palate me it doesn’t excite. The alcohol is spiky, especially when the juice is beyond icy cold. The fruit is decent; the hint of tropical places it firmly in California. Somewhat vigorous but past it’s best. Medium full. Okay but maybe younger vintages are more enjoyable.

September 9, 2019 - I drank this wine. I know I drank this wine because I wrote the name down. But it was wine #21 and I didn't write anything else. Hope it was great. [sheepish look]

August 22, 2019 - Had this next to the 2011 PB. Very nice wine, but comes off as softer, shorter, and less mineral than the 11.
