December 17, 2023 - A personal favorite... a story and relationship that I won't delve into here and now, but it should be mentioned that we've been hanging out since the '90s. Over 10 years have crafted a perfect balance, and according to my preferences, it doesn't get better than this. The Cabernet fruit is seductive, and it's almost ridiculously beautiful how they've managed to enchant 13.8% alcohol to a sippability level like no other. Best enjoyed alone or with light snacks... insanely delicious! 77% Cabernet, 16% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, 2% Malbec.

August 19, 2023 - served as a PnP and was delicious from the get-go. Smooth tannins, still a bit of complexity and did I say delicious? I have a few more bottles and will be doing a vertical with 2005. Will report back on that.

January 7, 2023 - Complex elegant Alexander Valley Cab. Rich red fruit, cedar and hint of oak. Well balanced with ripe tannins. A consistently well made cab at a decent price

December 25, 2022 - I've had this cellared since it was released in (2014 I think). I bought two bottles then and this is the first time I have opened one. It was worth the wait. I think Jordan generally makes high quality wines, but if you are in a restaurant, or buy from the store, they are the newest release typically and then you end up drinking it way too young. I stayed disciplined with these two bottles and resisted the temptation to pull from my cellar until they were at least 10 years old. Now I can't wait for the next one. This was such a complex wine, rich tannins but not overwhelming, amazing after taste that left me both thinking/trying to identify the menagerie of flavors and savoring the taste all at the same time. Should continue to evolve for many more years.

December 17, 2022 - Muted upon opening, decanted for a couple hours. Nose of creme de casis, dark fruits, and oak. Similar flavors. Good balance. Nice fruit, soft tanins and a pop of acid.

November 26, 2022 - 4th Saturday Brown Bagger (J&L's): From magnum, decanted for at least a few hours before dinner. Red berry fruit and plum with spice and herb overtones. Medium-bodied. Very nice. (J&L)

October 1, 2022 - My bottle seemed a couple of years past its prime, with no discernible oak or tannic structure. I see others are having better luck with their recently opened bottles.
