July 12, 2019 - Extremely enjoyable. Discreet nose right out of the bottle but with time gives beautiful flowers, red fruit - raspberries, earth, maybe a touch of oak and some spice. A very feminine wine with juicy fruit / acidity. Drink now - 2023

December 25, 2015 - Light ruby, smokey nose with earth, cherry and cardamom, tart dried cherry on the attack with earth, black licorice, juicy acidity and mild tannins, finish is long with animal, mushroom, bing cherry and mineral streaks
November 8, 2015 - Knightsbridge Annual Holiday Burgundy/Champagne Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL): Tasting, brief note. Nice floral start with bright red fruit and some earth hints. Firm red fruit flavors and good spice. Bit firm on finish. Cellar for a few more years. Good value with 89-90 point potential.
November 8, 2015 - Knightsbridge Wine Shoppe - Annual Burg & Champagne Tasting (Northbrook, IL): Gorgeous, giving nose with black cherry and intense spice. Nice structure with good grip. Drinking very well young. 90-92
June 27, 2015 - Pnp but opened up with more air. Nice earthy and funky components that compliment the dark fruits.
April 13, 2015 - Dinner with the IT kakis (Szechuan Douhua, Kitchener Road): Had the '11 a while back, and I must say I preferred that (to this). The nose seemed a tad dull, especially when tasted beside the Rossignol - notes of earth and dark-fruits emerged after some coaxing. I'm a bit surprised, given that most '12s that I've tried recently were all pretty expressive. On the palate, this felt dense and unyielding, with a little bit of that earthly note and some spice as well. Perhaps this just needed more time. To try again in another few years...
