August 22, 2020 - This was straw colored, medium bodied, with an interesting aroma and flavor tone of what I was having trouble characterizing, describing it as corn with hints of smoke. THEN, later I read Cellartracker Slywka's from Conneticut who is a Certified Sommelier tasting note post. Lo and behold, he wrote, "Aromas of nut, buttered popcorn, papaya and hint of flowers. Flavors of buttered popcorn, mango, vanilla, mineral and touch of banana. Ends with a buttered popcorn infused finish of 25+ seconds." He pegged what I was struggling to describe, that flavor of 'buttered popcorn". The rest of his tasting note sums it up aptly and well.

April 29, 2018 - Aromas of nut, buttered popcorn, papaya and hint of flowers. Flavors of buttered popcorn, mango, vanilla, mineral and touch of banana. Ends with a buttered popcorn infused finish of 25+ seconds. This has come around since the last time I had it. Put on some weight.

November 25, 2017 - Nice acidity and minerality. Soft melon and light citrus with mid-length finish.

November 25, 2016 - Nice acidity but lacking the depth of the Aubert Reuling bottlings. Grapefruit and pineapple in the nose, citrus and mango in the flavor. Medium length finish.

May 21, 2016 - A decent Chardonnay that is a bit over-priced for what it delivers. Light yellow in color, medium in body, muted nose, with hints of flowers and saline. Tastes of lemon, grapefruit, and vanilla, with a sour finish. 14% alcohol. Tasting more like Russian River Valley (i.e., plush) than Sonoma Coast (i.e., crisp), this wine did not live up to the hype (from Forbes), though it is still well-made. Improves with air.

February 23, 2016 - Creamy with a healthy dose of vanilla and oak. Bad QPR at release pricing.

February 5, 2015 - Decanted 2 hrs. Round but gentile in its touch this shows some lemon chiffon and coconut cream, which gives it a tropical feel, brassy top notes that faded a bit with air, and a touch of marshmallow oak influence. Very nice but it seems a bit loosey-goosey. I would like more focus and acidic cut at this price.
