Community Tasting Notes 3

July 24, 2021 - First of two bottles bought on auction recently (€30/bottle). Cork completely soaked and slippery, a few cm ullage, some seepage. Medium to dark golden colour. Weak nose. Ripe stone fruit, apricot, ripe citrus, honey, spice, some smoke, green tea, ethereal notes, and signs of bottle age on the palate, with good acidity, some residual sugar, and good length. Good complexity. A little tired, but still enjoyable. Should pair well with sushi and Asian cuisine.

Based on filling-level and colour, the other bottle of the Lot seems to be better preserved, and I should try it soon.

October 4, 2014 - Wonderful wine, NoW at Peak. Dark golden, almost oily velocity. Interesting nose, not the standard riesling Aromas but more Bordeaux Style. After 3 min in the Glass riesling Aroma develops.

On the palate a Great cobination of residual sugar, acidity and beginning Tertiary notes. Last bottle will wait another 5 years.

    One Glass left for tomorrow.

The wine looks yellow gold colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like fig, orange, gooseberry, mushroom, petrol, petrol, mineral, forest floor. The body is full. The wine has oily texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

February 23, 2013 - Dark yellow, Subtle nose with a Little petrol. Lots of residual sweetnes that may become more integrated in the potentially 10 + years to come.
