October 3, 2015 - Ruby with a hint of garnet, medium (-) to light in color. This is a surprisingly light-colored wine which delivers in spades on the palate. Ripe, sweet cherry and raspberry, with a bitter-sweet, herbal finish, which gives it a distinctive character. Tasty and very food friendly. Drinking well now, it is not likely to improve with further cellaring. In a blind tasting, it would be very difficult to peg this as a wine from deep Southern Italy.

December 6, 2014 - Soft and juicy with ripe and warm red fruits. There's a nice vein of earthy bitters running through the middle. Round rich mouthfeel but restrained flavors on the palate. $28 off the list at Casa Luca.

March 6, 2014 - Bright clear cherry red color. One of the thinnest looking wines I've ever seen. Unfortunately, the taste is much the same. Thin and lacking complexity.
