June 19, 2016 - Summer wine paired with grilled swordfish. Flowers, vanilla, peach and pear on the nose. Good acidity on the palate. Tropical fruits. Pleasant finish.
April 3, 2016 - Nice Chard, buttery, mild oak, w/excellent nose.
November 1, 2015 - Straw yellow with medium viscosity in the glass. Nose of butter, lemon oil, pineapple, tangerine, flowers, apple and melon rind. Med-full body with delightfully balanced butter, vanilla, citrus, toffee, melon and slate on the palate. Persistent with present acidity. Long finish. Exceptional quality delivers good QPR.
September 8, 2015 - Excellent chardonnay; light touch of oak. Great acidic balance with tropical fruit notes. Crisp, with a hint of stones. More burgundian in style than California.
September 1, 2015 - Shafer Dinner - 4 bottles for 6 people. Nice Chard, despite the oak, it was well balanced.
August 25, 2015 - Really liked this. Not a big oak bomb. Notes of Pineapple, orange peel and maybe some melon. Had this as one of 6 Shafer wines, in a single producer wine night. This was the only white wine we had.
August 22, 2015 - Big and bold with buttery oak, lush fruits and a touch of citrus. Nothing ground breaking but very good none the less.
August 14, 2015 - I'm no chard expert, but this suits me great: oaked, but balanced very well with bright tropical fruits, florals, and a little apricot. Really delicious.
July 22, 2015 - Big drop from the bottle tasted at the winery. Consistent profile of tropical citrus, but this was just not in perfect harmony as I remember it. Still excellent, but not all there. I think I'll sit on my remaining bottle for a year or so.
April 5, 2015 - On the dry end of the chardonnay scale.
