August 14, 2016 - Clean garnet in appearance with little oxidation. This builds weight over its first hour of airtime, and reveals a nose of cherry flesh, crushed flowers, lavender, a line of mint, and hints of soil underneath. It is expressive and perfumed, offering a beautiful and feminine complexity. The palate is very bright and fresh. High acidity here, and with very fine but firm tannins that have fully integrated. Excellent weight and expression across the palate. This is impeccably crafted and has ample structure and stuffing to last another 10. Gorgeous.

December 22, 2015 - Leather on the nose. A fresh acidity on the palate, balancing red plum and hints of cherry with leather, herb and a faint tar note. Annie's have faded and wine has a nice lengthy finish. Good stuff!

March 19, 2015 - A few bottles on a Thursday (Toronto, ON): Can't ask for much more of this wine. Wonderful showing. Savoury and in a wonderful drinking window. The nose is rustic, savoury and deep of dark cherry, sweat, rosemary, brown spice and cured meat. Could keep my nose in the glass all night. The palate has a wonderful deep dark ripe cherry texture replaying the savoury earthy and meaty notes against dusty low tannin and moderate acid. A Tuscan classic. Beautiful and my WOTN.

November 30, 2014 - Simply stunning. Big, bold, dark fruits. Long, subtle, round. Great with food and afterwards.

February 22, 2014 - Bit burnt flavor. Tannins still very sharp for 13 yrs!! This actually maybe still early! Decent structure and fruit.
