February 4, 2022 - Less broad and rich than the other Madeiras in this series though not with less character. Shows a marked stone fruit and pie filling quality on the nose with rancio, wood, nuts. Much lighter at the entry than most Madeiras yet the palate seems to go on a for a bit in a lighter bodied way. Again, a touch fruitier than many here. Good length. Ripe apple and citrus at the finish. White raisins and nuts. This is quite nice. Sort of a fresher yet mellower Madeira. Might be a better entry into these wines than some of the others for newbs. For whatever reason this on seems to turn up less at retail out here. Almost goes without saying this held up for several weeks in the fridge just great.

September 28, 2020 - A nice, elegant, lighter-style of Madeira. Some buttered nuts and caramel notes with good acidity. The blend seems very young and without much length, but this was very pleasant.

January 25, 2020 - Delicate aroma of burnt oranges, baked apple and solvent. The pallet is luscious with bright citrus, toasted walnuts, and spice. The intensity and acidity make the pallet length go on forever. The delicate balance keeps you returning to the glass...

January 12, 2019 - Lightly oxidized nose of hay and sea-spray. Palate is light and fresh, with golden raisins, butterscotch and an acidic, energetic, long, saline finish. KILLER with a good, salty blue cheese and honey.

December 21, 2018 - Lightly orange/amber color. Super nose that has brown sugar, orange peel, and vanilla notes. I love the weight - call it two glass Madeira as a second glass is welcome. Light, mid-sweet and oxidative. Almost refreshes it is so in balance. Serves equally well as an aperitif or a digestif. Love this. (92)

September 4, 2018 - Probably a good example, but too dry and acidic for my taste... I like the rich, sweet ones so much more. A summer sipper or aperitif. Others at the table liked it quite a bit.

April 27, 2017 - Madeira Seminar and Guided Tasting (Cream Wine Company - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Light color with a modest oxidative character. Fig and orange peel with moderate concentration, good weight, and a nice energy on finish. Majority Verdelho, typically with 25-30% Sercial, both approximately 5 yo.

September 12, 2016 - This is really enjoyable, but definitely a different style of Madeira than I'm used to. A golden color with butterscotch, white chocolate, nectarine, iodine, and ripe pear. The palate is lighter and fresher with candied stone fruit, butterscotch, and a beautiful lifting acidity. Really quite lovely. Definitely the lightest Madeira I've had, but very good and would be outstanding with richer desserts as it would lift them. Look forward to drinking more.
