February 11, 2021 - My best and last bottle. PnP. Fully resolved. Classic paulliac nose of pencil shavings, cassis, dark berries. So much stuffing for a 2013 bdx. Medium to long finish.

December 31, 2020 - Pencil lead, cassis, black fruits. High tannin and acidity. Decanted for 3 hours. Should keep and cellar longer.

May 10, 2020 - Reminded me why 2013 was not a great vintage. Still excellent winemaking. Good purity and well balanced. But lacking the fruit. Nose was flat.

April 15, 2020 - well structured; great paired with steak; typical pauillac; peaked though.

January 15, 2020 - Deep red core, fading at the rim. Not such dense fruit here, a little more on the red fruit spectrum, perfumed and inviting nonetheless; quite a noticeable lessening in the body here, much lighter. The tannins are quite coarse and the core of fruit shows much less concentration. A very cool style - you wouldn't want to age this for a long time, as its rather mean and the rough tannins would remain while the fruit concentration recedes.

February 12, 2019 - Decanted and served. Nice leather, chocolate and earth on the palate with sweet chewy tannins. Somewhat unfocused but delicious.

December 19, 2018 - Nose was first rate. intense dark berries with hint of vanilla and some green. But palette and length was disappointing and probably indicative of the vintage.

January 30, 2018 - IMW Bordeaux Tasting - 2013 Vintage (Hyatt, San Francisco): Pyrazinic but with coffee and some black fruit concentration. Well-done Brett and slight new oak. Balanced palate with good structure. The best of the Pauillacs.
