  December 21, 2022 - Rating is on tasting the wine alone, where spiky 1996 acidity still stood out. with food (chicken breasts in a cream and mustard sauce) the wine improved markedly, worthy of a 3 point upgrade. Dark fruits, still young, can go for another 20 years, at least. Cellared since original release. Not terrible, but no match for the superb 1982 Lafarge Volnay 1er Cru that a friend brought to pair with it.

  October 14, 2022 - Superb pinot with still lots of fruit. A power house of a wine. If it was not for the finish which was medium long I would have given this a higher score.

  November 20, 2016 - Barolo nose, burly and brutally black. Palate is loaded with black fruit, super extracted and either needs time or prayer.

  October 11, 2016 - Naso intrigante di frutta più nera che rossa, floreale di viola, con una decisa nota tostata; liquirizia, piccante di spezie. Al palato strutturato, con una acidità non particolarmente vibrante, tannini ben risolti. Finale discretamente lungo.
