September 24, 2016 - From a magnum. This bottle is so restrained throughout a 3 hour dinner. The mineral component has good potential. Needs a lot of time in magnum format.

September 16, 2016 - Very fresh and tight. Has some cooler notes with a little herbal action along with pure white peach and loads of minerality. It is compact, linear, direct and sharp. Terrific stuff.

August 17, 2016 - Very fresh. Correct bottle. Recent release. A bit waxy.

August 16, 2016 - Casual Burg Dinner with Friends (RPM Steak - Chicago IL): Orchard fruit aromas and flavors with moderate weight and depth. Good now, i wouldn't hold this much past the next few years. Some thought this had some bitter notes more common in 2004 reds, but I couldn't find any of that.

June 27, 2016 - Quite full nose, generously fruity, almost pine-apple. Ready with maturing hints of honey, walnuts and spices. A lot of stony minerality.
Fullish, austere palate with oak, nuts, gravel, gun-smoke and some orchard fruit. Good balance. Sligtly restrained and lacking a bit of generosity.
Good now and for some years. Could probably turn out lean in the distant future.
