July 10, 2016 - Medium goldish. Oxidative character with nutty and honey aspects and oak of excellent quality. Layered in the mouth, lighter than what you would expect, round with medium acidity and finish. Not to everyone's taste for sure.

Bonne longueur.
Très bien fait. Plus racoleur que le Placet de Palacios. Bon RQP tout de même.

October 11, 2015 - Drank at the Restaurant Gorria in Barcelona.
14k Golden color; good mouthfeel like a sherry; slightly bitter and short at the end.
Developed some complexity as it got warmer in the glass but a far cry from the old style white Riojas I enjoyed so much in the past.
Went really well with the fish and mussels prepared "a la galliega". Too austere with a fabulous goose liver pate that came up-front.

October 10, 2015 - On the fence about this wine, one of a tiny handful of Viura I've tried. I liked the layered nutty yellow plum and honey aspect, sort of Marsanne esque only with a briny green tea giving some cut to the back end. But there were some oxidative notes, which is not my preference. They weren't overpowering and complemented the fruit profile of the wine OK but still not my preference.
