November 14, 2020 - Far past its prime — one dimensional and thin. Likely fairly ordinary even in its heyday. We are using our remaining bottles of this wine for cooking.

May 21, 2014 - Another successful experiment with long term aging of a daily-drinker wine - this bottling was heralded as a best bargain back when I bought it 10 years ago but I never got around to drinking it and at some point I decided to hold onto it - still drinking great, with a lot of flavor, smooth tannins, nice nose, varietal correctness, and some complexity derived through age. Very happy with it! Violets & cassis, with notes of tobacco and espresso.

November 19, 2011 - Definitely declining. Drinkable but not desirable. Raspberry and rubbing alcohol on the nose. Slight tannins, smooth, with cherry and tobacco on the palate. Well past its prime, but still drinkable; don't serve to company.

August 8, 2011 - Nothing really stood out in either direction. Went well with the NY strip. Reminded me of a quallity 'house' wine that some restaurants might offer. If I had to discribe it using only one word, it would be - "solid".

September 18, 2010 - Well balanced with good fruit. This seems to be right at its peak.

May 11, 2009 - Nice fruit up front, but very thin on the mid pallate. Finish is okay, but this is not a very well structured wine. Nothing objectionable, but nothing exceptional either.

April 15, 2009 - My kind of cab. Smooth, berry fruit, nice finish.

January 14, 2009 - Still a favorite. Nice fruit, not overly fruity. Has a cab flavor that I enjoy. A good value wine for me.

November 11, 2008 - Blackberry and roasted plum flavors, framed by cedary oak. Plush and polished, this is styled, and quite oaked. The finish is a bit lacking; somewhat short, the fruit is clipped, and there is a touch of astringency. Solid, however, with chewy tannins.
