July 4, 2019 - Fun wine, good showing. Fresh bramble compote with a spritely zip. All pop, little weight or tannin. Broken-in saddle brett in place to raise some eyebrows. Enjoyed by all; though the magnum might have been more than we could chew.
February 21, 2018 - Wow, never have all the other reviews been dead on to my experience. Lots of sulphur on nose. Very green, and tart cranberry on palate. After decanting for 5 hours it was getting better. Should have read notes before opening, would have drank next day after opening.
May 13, 2017 - Long decant / air seemed to help open the wine up and blow off some of the sulfurous funk through there was plenty of brett remaining. Has some classic carbonic lift and through light weight, has plenty to contemplate.
March 27, 2016 - Natty for sure, and pretty delicious.
October 3, 2015 - Much too green peppery for my palette. I didn't get much fruit on this at all at this point. I thought my first bottle was substantially better.
April 23, 2015 - 12% abv. Ruby/clear. Mixed feelings.. Nose is funky to begin, becoming floral, leathery, but with some nail polish. Slight aroma of decomposing fruit. Light bodied and acidic. Herbaceous on the finish.
February 19, 2015 - See previous notes..semi carbo loire valley cab franc. Easy drinking..not overly complex but enjoyable with dinner
February 17, 2015 - Smells slightly of Bordeaux, tastes like Loire
December 3, 2014 - very fresh and pure fruits are revealed in this great simple gluggable wine. Some funk needs to blow off upon opening, so yes give it a little time to air out, and then GLOU GLOU time!!
November 22, 2014 - 11-22-14 A sulphur off-smell took a while to blow off; even so this was a fresh, fruity, gluggable wine that is ready to drink, and very enjoyable with goat cheese, rabbit terrine, etc., and will hold for a couple of years. decant and wait 30-60 min., ideally.
