December 24, 2008 - just as the previous taster has said. It changed its character pretty quickly evolving for about an 1 hour and faded after 2 hours tried it 2 times this month drink up!

December 1, 2008 - Hans Kruger Classic (Suite 100): Have had this a few times as well. Back to back with the '94 Echezeaux. Younger nose of strictly fruit, red berries, cherry. Very ripe. The palate has quite a bit of structure. Firm tannins and acid up front with spices, nice red cherry core, charcoal, and burnt toast. Long, long, spicy finish with refreshing acidity. Very nice.

October 1, 2006 - Hans Krueger Selections Part Deux (The Jug): 2nd experience with DRC. Not the best vintage, but we'll give it a whirl. Nose of rust, mud, mushrooms, and soy sauce. I think I smelled a bit of dried cherries at one point, blinked, and then lost it. Very intriguing nose though, and one that I will never forget. It wasn't offensive, just not anyting that I've smelled before. The palate is a bit old with tart cranberry, fresh dirt, and tight, dusty tannin. Weird, but I'm glad I was able to try such a wine.

December 24, 2005 - Dark, almost black, quite claret-like on the nose, with blackcurrant tones, but on the palate more obviously pinot, with the damp earth fruit, plenty of grip, powerful, long lingering finish - probably at its peak

December 1, 2005 - Truffle Dinner, Pinot Tasting, and Piemonte (3x DRC, 2x Gaja, and more): At first, this seems a little off and might just possibly be corked, but I'm pretty TCA-insensitive so I'm not sure. After 30 minutes, it is seeming even more likely that it is corked and pretty sure that it is off somehow. After dinner (and 5 hours open), this just reeks. Damn corks!
