February 8, 2015 - Opened for NZ rack of lamb. Sharp notes of orange, citrus, red licorice, iron ore, tart cranberry, dusty wood, green peppers with a deep dark oaken bass note. You can smell this from quite a distance, as the nose jumps out of the glass. The Judge Family Vineyard is a 9 acre vineyard in the Bennett Valley area in Santa Rosa.

December 10, 2013 - Delicious red that is really singing! Nose a bit subdued, but very classy & well-balanced on palate w/ dark fruit, cedar, smooth tannins, good acid. Very long finish. A really enjoyable red that I would have guessed cost at least twice as much.

March 5, 2011 - Somewhat disappointing. Same nose, fruit, etc. as in previous bottles, but the finish was truncated. Might be past its peak. Enjoyable, but nothing to get excited about.
